Rabbi Miriam Cotzin Burg is the Founder and Executive Director of Hava NaBaby: Jewish Childbirth Education. She designs and teaches holistic childbirth classes, builds community among expectant parents and invites them to engage with big questions about the people and parents they want to be. She also trains and certifies Hava NaBaby educators and doulas both locally and nationally. In addition, Miriam consults on family education and family camping and leads a small congregation in Honolulu, Hawaii, over the High Holy Days. She was ordained from HUC-JIR, Los Angeles in 2002, after having received her Master of Hebrew Letters in 2001 and her Master of Jewish Education in 2000. Since then, Miriam has served in a variety of educational settings including camping and retreats, day schools, adult and family education, and hospital chaplaincy. Miriam lives in Baltimore with her husband, Rabbi Daniel Burg, and their two children, Eliyah and Shamir.
