Elul Circles
Prepare for the High Holidays. Build deeper community. Start something meaningful — right now.
Elul is coming!
The High Holidays arrive like a whirlwind — full of soul and song, honesty and awe, introspection and joy. But what if your community didn’t just show up for the holidays — what if they showed up ready?
Elul Circles is IYUN’s annual, free 4-part series designed to help you gather a group and reflect meaningfully before the Jewish New Year. It’s an easy, inspiring way to deepen an existing community or spark something new—whether you’re a formal leader in a JCC, synagogue, Federation, or organization, or someone who just knows how to get people around a table.
What is an Elul Circle?
An Elul Circle is not a class or a lecture. It’s a space for conversation and connection, built around timeless Jewish texts and timely personal questions. No expertise required. Just bring your people and your curiosity.
We’ll give you everything else: a complete Facilitator’s Guide, customizable outreach materials, a ready-to-go registration platform, and — us! You’ll get a personal educational consult with our faculty, to help make this work for you, in your unique setting, for your people.
Who is this for?
Anyone building Jewish community! Whether you’re a professional Jewish community builder, a parent wishing to gather fellow parents of preschoolers, or a 20s/30s connector with a vision and a group chat — you can do this. Really.
What's new this year?
We’re delighted to announce a fully refreshed curriculum with brand-new content for both first-timers and returning Elul Circle leaders.
Additionally, everyone who completes their Elul Circle will receive a 20% discount on licensing our Living the Jewish Calendar curriculum — so you can keep your circle learning and growing year-round.
Why now?
Because Elul is here to help us soften, stretch, and stir. Because when we make space for reflection before the holidays, we enter the season with more presence, more readiness, and more connection. And because this could be the start of something bigger — for your group and for you.
Ready to begin?
To run an Elul Circle, you agree to:
Start your Circle anytime before Rosh Hashanah (September 22nd), recruit at least 6 participants, and—for first-timers—book a 20 minute educational consultation with our team before you begin!
All it takes is a little initiative and a little intention. We’ve done the rest. Let’s go into the New Year open-hearted, grounded, and in good company.
