Jackie’s time as a Jewish Educator has always been guided by the question of how to bring Jewish text and tradition to life through relationship and community building. She is passionate about Jewish pluralism in all its forms and about helping students find their own personal connections to Judaism. Outside the classroom and synagogue education, she enjoys being a learner herself. She has been participating in the Daf Yomi cycle and loves finding others to study Talmud with.
Jackie and her husband, Nic, both grew up in South Florida and enjoy spending time near the water and going on nature walks—especially when there are Pokémon stops—accompanied by their dog, Driedle. They are excited to explore the best trails and restaurants in Gainesville. At home, they can often be found watching anime or science fiction, especially Star Trek.
