Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Micah Cowan is a third year rabbinical student at JTS. He graduated from List College in 2019 with bachelor’s degrees in Bible and Linguistics from JTS and Columbia. Micah previously worked as a JDC Jewish Service Corps Fellow in the Jewish community in Budapest, Hungary and worked in logistics for USY (United Synagogue Youth). In his spare time, you can find Micah Israeli folk dancing at sessions around the world, winning Broadway lotteries when in NYC, and spending time with his two young nephews back in Maryland.
