Rabbi Isabel de Koninck has served as Executive Director and Campus Rabbi for Hillel at Drexel University since 2010. Complementing her role as Hillel’s Executive Director, Rabbi de Koninck regularly serves as an adjunct University instructor teaching courses such as Civic Engagement 101, and her much-acclaimed Honor’s Seminar Great Works: Harry Potter as a Sacred Text. Rabbi de Koninck’s passion for Jewish life starts with the belief that Judaism is a relevant and inspiring framework for engaging the daily opportunities and challenges of today’s world. Her work in the Hillel movement focuses on building institutional structures and educational pedagogies necessary to support, maintain and grow deeply diverse and inclusive Jewish campus life. Rabbi de Koninck resides in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia with her wife and two daughters. When not on campus, she can be found running and hiking the trails of her beloved Wissahickon Valley Park.
