Nature-Seeking Urban Dweller, Community Curator, Behind-the-Scenes Instigator

Rebecca Krasner has spent her adult life aiming to facilitate experiences that initiate curiosity, creativity, and ultimately transformation for herself and her community. She is currently the Director of the Center City Kehillah, a network of communities representing the diversity of Jewish life in urban Philadelphia, including synagogues and congregations; cultural, educational, and social justice institutions; and nonprofit initiatives. She is also the administrator for the Board of Rabbis of Greater Philadelphia.

Rebecca began her career as a Museum Educator where she designed and implemented educational programs in a variety of art museums, for a variety of audiences, including: preschoolers, middle school students, classroom teachers, and adults. As a birth doula, Rebecca advocated for and supported over 30 families in Los Angeles and Chicago through their journey into parenthood.

Rebecca lives in Center City Philadelphia with her life partner Abe Friedman and their four children, Odelia, Azzi, Yonah, and Miryam.
