Omer Circles
Grow something meaningful this spring. Build community. Start a Circle.
The Omer is coming!
Between Pesach and Shavuot, Jewish tradition invites us into a remarkable journey: 49 days of growth. Day by day, step by step, we move from the story of our freedom to the question of who we want to become.
Omer Circles is IYUN’s free 3-part series designed to help you gather a group and lead meaningful conversations during the Omer. It’s a simple, inspiring way to deepen an existing community or spark something new — whether you’re a professional leader in a JCC, synagogue, Federation, or organization, or someone who simply knows how to bring people together around a table.
What is an Omer Circle?
An Omer Circle is not a class or a lecture. It’s a space for conversation and connection, built around timeless Jewish texts and timely personal questions. No expertise required. Just bring your people and your curiosity.
We’ll give you everything else: a complete Facilitator’s Guide, customizable outreach materials, a ready-to-go registration platform, and — us! You’ll get a personal educational consult with our faculty, to help make this work for you, in your unique setting, for your people.
Who is this for?
Anyone building Jewish community. Whether you’re a Jewish professional, a lay leader, a parent who wants to gather other parents, a 20s/30s connector with a vision and a group chat, or someone who simply believes that good conversations change people — you can do this. Really.
In our experience, the best Circles include 6–20 participants and bring together people who are curious, thoughtful, and eager for meaningful connection.
How it works
Omer Circles are structured as three conversations, each about 90 minutes long. You choose the dates, invite your people, and host the conversations. We make the rest simple. Your turnkey toolkit includes:
• Fully editable Facilitator Guides and participant source sheets for three gatherings
• Marketing materials and recruitment templates to help you invite your community
• A ready-to-use registration form
• A 20-minute Educational Consult with our team to help you prepare
Everything is designed so you can focus on what matters most: bringing people together for meaningful conversation.
Why now?
Because the weeks between Pesach and Shavuot are full of possibility. Because when people gather regularly for thoughtful conversation, something powerful begins to happen: relationships deepen, questions open, and community grows. And because sometimes all it takes to start something meaningful is a small group, a few good questions, and someone willing to say, “Come over.”
That someone could be you.
Ready to begin?
To run an Omer Circle, you agree to:
Start your Circle anytime before Shavuot (May 21st), recruit at least 6 participants, and—for first-timers—book a 20 minute educational consultation with our team before you begin!
All it takes is a little initiative and a little intention. We’ve done the rest. Let’s make this spring a season of growth, connection, and conversation.
