Jewish Leadership Pride, Magical Motherhood Maker, Proud Air Force Spouse

Pam Ganz-McGill is entering her second year as Director of Education at B’nai Shalom, where she oversees the education department, including the Religious School and all youth programs such as Club Yalla!. With more than 25 years of experience in Jewish communal service—spanning education, youth engagement, executive administration, and operations—Pam is dedicated to nurturing the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of the community’s children and teens. She leads a dynamic team of educators—both returning and new—whose diverse talents and commitment help inspire students throughout the year.

Pam’s deep passion for Jewish education was inspired by her formative years at Temple Emanu-El in Silicon Valley, guided by dedicated religious school teachers (Betty Rinsler z”l and Bonnie Slavitt-Moore). Her career began in synagogue education throughout Los Angeles and the Bay Area, developing creative and engaging programs for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Throughout her career, Pam has held executive positions at organizations such as the Jim Joseph Foundation and the National Council of Jewish Women, supporting nonprofit operations and governance. She has also coordinated educational programs and overseen staff at Hillel International, facilitating life-changing trips to Israel through Taglit/Birthright for college students. Her work with March of the Living included guiding high school students through Holocaust education and travel in Poland and Israel. Most recently, Pam returned to classroom teaching at Gan B’nai Shalom, collaborating on curriculum development that integrates Jewish holidays, Hebrew language, and community traditions.

This coming October, Pam will participate in the MOMentum Journey of Growth in Israel, joining Jewish mothers of all kinds for an inspirational experience in learning, connection, and renewal—a journey she is especially eager to embark upon and one she anticipates will further enrich her life.

Pam holds an Associate of Arts degree from De Anza College and a certificate in Human Resources from IAP Career College. She is married to Chris, a nearly 30-year Air Force veteran, and is the proud mother of Gabriel and Elijah.

Pam is deeply committed to the B’nai Shalom community and looks forward to another year of growth, connection, and shared joy in Jewish education and engagement for children of all ages.
