Runner, Coffee Enthusiast, Aspiring Father

Sam is currently a Development and Program Coordinator at the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America. He is a graduate of the Hornstein Program at Brandeis University, where he graduated with dual masters degrees in Jewish Professional Leadership and Business Administration in 2023. He completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University in 2017, where he majored in anthropology and discovered ways to articulate his love for people and cultures. In particular, he was able to find the language to describe his own culture—Judaism.

Through his studies and participation in several immersive Jewish programs and fellowships, including the Nachshon Project, Hadar Institute and Kivunim gap year, Sam has, and continues to, seek out leadership opportunities within the Jewish world. Sam is also long-time camper and staff member at Camp Ramah in Ojai, California. Prior to graduate school, Sam worked at lululemon in Los Angeles. In his free time, Sam loves making and drinking coffee, photography, running, and being with friends.
